In 2026 Bucharest has a few dozen coworking spaces, from international chains with hundreds of seats in office towers to houses with 12 desks. The real differences are four: what kind of seat you buy, in which area, how long the contract ties you in, and who your desk neighbours are. The guide below takes them in turn so you can choose with full knowledge; it is written by someone who runs such a space, so read it knowing where it comes from.
What you actually buy: the four kinds of seat
Hot desk. An unreserved seat at a shared table, first come, first served; you take your laptop with you when you leave. The cheapest and the least settled kind of seat. Suits people who come 2–3 times a week.
Dedicated desk. Your own desk, the same one every day, with a locker or drawer, usually with 24/7 access and the right to register your company at that address. For people who work from the same place daily. At Hublou it is the only individual seat we offer.
Private office. A closed, furnished room for your team, with access to the shared facilities. Offered from 2 to dozens of people; the price is usually per person.
Virtual office. You do not buy a seat but an address: registered office, mail handling and, at some spaces, meeting-room hours. For companies working from home or from another city.
On top of these comes the meeting room, by the hour, which you can rent without a membership.
Bucharest's areas and what you find in each
| Area | Who it suits | Spaces (examples, October 2026) | Metro |
|---|---|---|---|

| Victoriei Square | teams that want an office tower with the metro at the door | Mindspace Victoriei, aSpace Calea Victoriei | Piața Victoriei, M1/M2 |
| Floreasca and Barbu Văcărescu | startups and tech teams | aSpace Floreasca, Regus Floreasca Plaza | Aurel Vlaicu, M2 |
| Pipera | companies with headquarters in the north, access by car | Mindspace Pipera, Regus in the business parks | Pipera, M2 |
| City centre: Universitate, Romană, Unirii | freelancers, NGOs, anyone who wants the old town at the door | Impact Hub (Tudor Arghezi), Commons Romană, Commons Unirii, V7 Startup Studio (Mendeleev) | Universitate, Piața Romană, Unirii |
| Timpuri Noi, Splaiul Unirii | creatives, makers, workshops | Nod Makerspace | Timpuri Noi, M1 |
| Gara de Nord, Griviței | corporate, large teams | Hotspot Workhub (The Mark), Stamina Workspace (Constantin Mille) | Gara de Nord, M1/M4 |
The simple rule: choose the area by where you spend the rest of your day, not by where it is cheapest. An extra 30 minutes of commuting a day costs more than the price difference between two spaces.
What it costs
At public prices in October 2026, a dedicated desk costs roughly RON 1,500 to 2,450 a month including VAT, a private office RON 2,000 to 2,500 per person a month, and a registered office RON 60 to 650 a month, depending on what comes with the address. The full tables, with sources, are in our price guide. Three things change the bill more than the list price: the deposit (one or two months at many spaces), the minimum term (from 30 days to 24 months) and VAT, which websites in euros usually leave out.
How to choose: nine questions to ask on the visit
- How many people work here on an ordinary day, and how full is it at 11 a.m.? A 12-seat space and a 300-seat space are two different experiences.
- Is access 24/7 or business hours? Key card or reception?
- What is the minimum term, and is there a deposit?
- What is included: printing, the meeting room, coffee, a locker, a phone booth, the registered office?
- Do the windows open? What is the air like in winter, when a large building's centralised ventilation is shared with every floor? Are there air purifiers?
- How noisy is it: are calls taken at desks or in booths?
- How far is the metro, and where do you park?
- Can you work a trial day before signing? At Hublou, yes: a free trial day, no strings attached, by appointment.
- Who answers when you have a problem: a community manager on site or a call centre?
Chain or boutique?
A chain makes sense if you want access in several cities, if your team is larger than 12, or if you want a hot desk for a few days a month. A boutique space makes sense if you work from the same place every day and want quiet, clean air and neighbours you know by name. We wrote a figures-based comparison of Hublou with Regus, Mindspace and Commons.
What Hublou looks like
Hublou Coworking is at 31 Emanoil Porumbaru Street, by Charles de Gaulle Square, 5 minutes from Aviatorilor metro: 12 dedicated desks in a renovated classic building, with windows that open, classic radiator heating, HEPA purifiers, terraces with Wi-Fi and 24/7 access with a key card. The desk costs RON 1,499 a month, 0% VAT, minimum 30 days, no deposit, with registered-office hosting included. If you sign up by 31 October 2026, you get 10% off for the whole term of the contract: RON 1,349 per month. We also have three private offices, for 4, 8 and up to 12 people, priced on actual occupancy rather than on the office's total capacity, and a virtual office at RON 499 a month. Everything is included: utilities, supplies, daily cleaning, lounge areas, terraces with Wi-Fi and a cup of the finest illy coffee. We have no hot desks and no day passes, precisely so that the atmosphere stays constant.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between coworking and a rented office?
With coworking you pay a monthly all-inclusive membership and can leave in 30 days; with a rented office you sign for 1–5 years and pay a deposit, fit-out and utilities separately.
Can I register my company at a coworking space?
Yes, at most spaces; at Hublou it is included with the dedicated desk and the virtual office. The hosting contract is the proof of the right of use the Trade Register asks for.
Is there coworking with round-the-clock access in Bucharest?
Yes: Hublou, Commons, Mindspace, Nod and most Regus centres offer 24/7 access to members.
How long does it take to start?
At a coworking space, a few days: visit, contract, key card. At Hublou the visit can be your free trial day: write to us on WhatsApp or through the form.
